The IBBA programmme offers ample opportunities to analyse different business issues in various perspectives through activities both inside and outside the classroom. When being inside the classroom, we learn from lectures and individual assignments, engage in different types of group discussions and participate in other group work such as conducting research for project presentation. The programme curriculum also includes an abundance of learning activities outside the classroom.
In a management class, we were asked to visit the local supermarket chain ParknShop during class time and buy a product that would best satisfy the demands of an international market. This exercise stimulated me to think more deeply about international business, such as market environment, export, licensing, marketing and so on in an international context. Besides, in my current marketing course, I have read and analyzed three Harvard marketing case studies. These activities are well designed to help us apply our knowledge in practical situations. The learning activities, both inside and outside classroom, have helped develop my “business eyes” and broadened my business horizons.
