Engineering and Business Administration (ERG-BBA) Double Degree Options

Collaboration between the CUHK Business School and the Faculty of Engineering, the double degree options in Engineering and Business Administration are offered to the Engineering students who would like to pursue the second bachelor’s degree in Business Administration (BBA) in Integrated BBA Programme.

  • Bachelor of Engineering – Bachelor of Business Administration (BEng – BBA)
  • Bachelor of Science – Bachelor of Business Administration (BSc – BBA)

The double degree options allow Engineering students with maximum flexibility to acquire a second degree by an additional year of study after completion of their first degree. The extra year required to pursue a BBA degree will be self-financed and students will be charged marginal costs. The following are possible combinations of the double degree options:

  • BEng in Biomedical Engineering – BBA in Integrated BBA
  • BEng in Computer Engineering – BBA in Integrated BBA
  • BEng in Electronic Engineering – BBA in Integrated BBA
  • BEng in Energy Engineering – BBA in Integrated BBA (for students admitted in 2015-16 and or before)
  • BEng in Energy and Environmental Engineering – BBA in Integrated BBA (for students admitted in 2016-17 and thereafter)
  • BEng in Financial Technology – BBA in Integrated BBA
  • BEng in Information Engineering – BBA in Integrated BBA
  • BEng in Mechanical and Automation Engineering – BBA in Integrated BBA
  • BEng in Systems Engineering and Engineering Management – BBA in Integrated BBA
  • BSc in Computer Science – BBA in Integrated BBA

  • Notes to applicants
    • Engineering students should declare to enroll in the ERG-BBA according to the application procedures prescribed by the Faculty of Engineering.
    • Engineering students should take at least 30 units of second degree courses (i.e. BBA) within their study period of the first degree (i.e. BEng/BSc), and obtain at least an overall GPA of 3.0 in order to be eligible to pursue the second degree (i.e. BBA).
    • At around first degree graduation period, Engineering students would be requested to fill in the “Declaration Form for Registration of Second Degree” to seek approval to pursue the second degree by both concerned Faculties.
