The Chinese University of Hong Kong was my first choice of university admission. I am particularly attracted by the unique college experience offered by CUHK. In September 2018, my dream came true. I have officially started my journey in the CUHK as one of the members of the Shaw College, the fourth constituent college of the CUHK. During the first year in Shaw College, I attended six assemblies organised by the College. I am very thankful to the College for inviting speakers from different industries who gave very inspiring speeches. I attended assembly featuring Dr. KO Wai-san Fanny and Mr. NG Kwok-sing Aldous, Star of Shaw Awardee 2019; Dr. Lee Kai-fu, a venture capitalist from Taiwan etc. They all made my university experience more fruitful.

In order to be more involved in college activities, I decided to become a committee member of The Resident Association of Student Hostel II. As the promotion officer, I am committed to providing a colourful “hall life” to residents. Together with my teammates, we prepared a range of activities, including Photo Day, end-of-term party, hostel orientation and celebrations of various festivals. We put a lot effort into the preparation in order to organise smooth and successful events. We felt satisfied when the participants appreciated what we prepared for them. What is equally important is that with a busy schedule filled with classwork and activities, I have learnt to strike a balance between social activities and achieving a good GPA – work hard, play hard. I also enjoy teamwork. My fellow committee members are my best friends in the CUHK. They make my university life full of fun and memorable!
